Exhibition statement: Allison Fox Schneider uses light and hand-cut plastic to create fine lines of ethereal shadow. The combination of transparent material and distinct, but illusory, lines produces a beautiful and disconcerting effect: focus shifts between the physical and the impermanent. Her organic, intertwined forms find inspiration in nature and the body.
